Is there even one Trilogy where the third movie was the best?

Everybody I've talked to that's seen Shrek the 3rd, Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Carribean 3 say the first two films were better. It's been a lame year for movies so far.Is there even one Trilogy where the third movie was the best?
Agree with Lord of the Rings. And in the ';new'; Star Wars trilogy (episodes 1,2,3) 3 was the least annoying and therefore the best. And Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was just as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark. But yeah, in recent years most sequels have been worse, because they stretch out ideas to try to make as much money as possible.Is there even one Trilogy where the third movie was the best?

I haven't seen Shreck 3, but I thought Spiderman 3 was kind of lame.


Pirates of the Caribbean 3, however, was awesome, way better than the second one. IMO.


But I'll give you 2 others where the third one is best:


Lord of the Rings - all the movies are awesome, but the third


is the best

Indiana Jones - the third movie is definitely better than the first ones.
I saw POTC 3 last night and i believe it was better than the first 2.
MMm... they are quite rare in my opinion since major Hollywood directors as well as the actors don't really want to be involved with the 3rd movie of the series but I personally liked the Robocop 3 the best out of 1, 2 and 3. And although it's not really a trilogy (since there is 6 in total) I liked the Episode 3 the best including all Star Wars movies.





But for most Trilogies; e.g. Terminator, Rambo, Sniper etc. Ah, well...
i can't think of one where the third was the best, but at least in the Lord of the Rings all three movies were equally on par and all were wonderful. I find that a rarity and something special. Does that count in a way.
i totally agree the 3rd movie usually always sucks but the harry potter movies are an aception ya but like rocky3 the red dragon final destionation 3 were all a waste of time
WHAT? Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End was awesome and better than the first two! Also, the 3rd Lord of the Rings was the best in the trilogy. The first two were pretty good but the third was way better.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy... The third is the best (in my opinion).
